Driivz and WEX Integrate EV Fleet Charging Payments Through OCPI

EV fleet charging software is increasingly connecting charging operations directly with payment and fleet management. On August 25, 2026, EV charging software provider Driivz announced an integration with WEX designed to simplify charging payments and billing for electric fleet operators and drivers.

The integration uses OCPI and is intended to allow fleet drivers using WEX payment tools to access compatible public charging infrastructure managed through the Driivz platform.

Charging and Fleet Payments Are Moving Into One Digital Workflow

Traditionally, fleet fueling and EV charging have often been managed through different systems.

As commercial fleets electrify, operators increasingly need charging transactions to connect directly with existing fleet payment, reporting and accounting processes.

The Driivz-WEX integration addresses this challenge by linking EV charging infrastructure with WEX payment tools.

Drivers can use payment and identification methods such as mobile applications or RFID-based access, while charging and transaction information can flow into the wider fleet management environment.

Why OCPI Matters for EV Charging Management Systems

OCPI, or the Open Charge Point Interface, is commonly used for communication between different EV charging service platforms.

While OCPP primarily connects chargers with a charging management backend, OCPI can help connect different service providers and charging ecosystems.

This distinction becomes especially important as fleet charging expands beyond private depots.
