LKAB Selects Cloud-Based CSMS to Support Industrial Fleet Electrification

Industrial fleet electrification is moving beyond charger installation toward centralized software management. On August 26, 2026, Swedish mining and minerals group LKAB selected ChargePanel’s cloud-based Charging Station Management System (CSMS) to support the management and operation of charging infrastructure across its business.

The development is another sign that large industrial organizations increasingly see an EV charging management system as a core part of fleet electrification—not simply an optional backend for connected chargers.

LKAB Chooses a Centralized Charging Management Platform

According to ChargePanel, LKAB will use its cloud-based CSMS to support the monitoring, management and optimization of charging infrastructure as the company continues electrifying its vehicle fleet and digitalizing operations.

For industrial fleets, this type of centralized architecture becomes increasingly important as the number of electric vehicles, charging stations and operating locations grows.

Instead of managing each charger independently, a CSMS can provide operators with a common digital environment for viewing charger status, charging activity and network performance.
